New Shipping Emissions Regulations Will Increase Caribbean Food Costs

IMO 2020, legislation that will ban ships from using fuels with a sulfur content above 0.5%, is expected to raise the operating costs of shippers by 20% in developed markets and by significantly more in the Caribbean. This will have a major impact on food prices.
